Halloween & St.Simons Island

Sweet sleeping baby boy! Graham is now 3months old! He is a wonderful baby! Sleeping like a champ! He has almost lost all his hair and it's coming back a little lighter. I'm thinking he will have dark blonde hair. I still can't tell what color his eyes are going to be, but definitely darker than Easton's. Maybe hazel like mine. He is a mama's boy, but what 3 month old isn't. He get's upset even when my back is to him.

Easton has many silly faces these days. Every day at some point he lays next to Graham and says...take a picture of us! Little ham.

Happy Halloween!
This was the first of 3 Halloween events! Whew! The Costume March at Easton's school on Friday. They march through Tech's campus while the faculty and staff hand out candy.

Easton and Johnna Cox...isn't she the cutest black cat! Easton isn't really into any "characters" yet so when we talked about what he wanted to be for Halloween his response was a Football player. Then I remembered I had my brother's bat boy uniform from when my dad was the baseball coach at Upperman High (20 years ago!). Perfect! It wasn't hard to convince him to be a baseball player...especially since he had been watching the World Series with Matt.

Easton and his buddy Ty Harrison.

Someone offered to take our picture together.

Graham was a little pumpkin!

Getting ready to carve our pumpkin....

Make a face like the pumpking...

...a plane!

Sweet baby Graham! He has started laughing!

That is the look of concern I see quite often when Easton is trying to carry him.

Round two of trick or treating. We walked to our neighbors house and before he could get "trick or treat" out he the dogs barking. Thankfully he loves dogs.

Ms. Karen walking him back to the car.

Proud of his candy.

We stopped by Uncle Wes' house. I didn't realize he was dressed up until I asked about the side part he was sporting. He is someone from a TV show. Uncle was proud to see E wearing his old uni.

More morning time pictures!

And then there is the candy!!!!! This child LOVES candy! Maybe it's my fault for not giving in to sweets enough. When the opportunity comes he goes bonkers. I let it go all weekend but by Monday was ready to put my foot down on the candy eating!

I tried to hide it, but of course he remembered within the first twenty minutes of waking up Monday AM. This is why I didn't throw it away...yet. So what can we do with candy besides eat it....make a candy train!

After we had exhausted all the ways to play with candy without eating it...I gave in and let him eat a piece. It was the day after Halloween after all. But of course what toddler can stop at one. So for the rest of the morning he wanted more.
One conversation went like this:
E: Mommy, can I have some candy please (head tilted in his sweetest high pitch voice).
Me: No, Easton, no more candy.
E: That hurt my feelings mommy (head tilted the other way and sad voice). You suppose to say yes.
Then a bit later...
E: I may eat all my candy all gone.
Me: You better not.
E: cause it might make me sick? (we've discussed this before)
Me: That's right.
E: I would like that, Mommy!

St. Simons Island, GA!
This was a last minute trip that Matt's mom and I put together. I hadn't been to the beach all summer and anyone who knows me knows how I love the beach! I hadn't been to the Atlantic coast in probably ten years! We usually go to the gulf side of FL...30A....Seagrove, Seaside, Rosemary, etc. It was Easton's first plane ride and Graham's first vacation. We had a blast! Thanks, Sasa and Gonnie!
He did great on the plane! He has never really liked loud noises, so we were worried take off might scare him, but he thought it was "citing" (exciting).

We stayed our first night in Jacksonville, FL...then drove an hour to St. Simons the next AM. E got spoiled by getting to watch the World Series every night in bed. Thankfully they both slept great the entire trip. Most mornings Graham slept in longer than anyone.

This was the beach outside our condo at King & Prince. We had great views. The sound of the ocean day and night was so relaxing.

E and Gonnie trying out the pool. Better him than me! It was freezing cold! The days were about 78-80 and the nights were high 60s.

Easton and Gonnie at lunch. They definitely bonded on this trip.

Matt, Sarah & Donnie all went golfing on our first day there....so the boys and I decided to walk to the pier/park and have a picnic. The weather was perfect picnic weather and there were lots of beautiful trees for shade.

Easton really is a great big brother. He loves taking care of Graham. He thinks Graham is the greatest thing ever! He loves holding his hand and comforting him.

The park was beachfront! E loved it and I loved that I was still sitting by the ocean. In fact I think we were there for a total of 3 hours with only a lemonade/potty break once.

The only place I could find lemonade other than a restaurant was the local candy store in "The Village". In case you were wondering...I didn't leave the store without letting E fill a bag with candy. I kept telling myself...it's vacation!

Worn out babies!
Daddy and Easton taking a walk.

Graham enjoying the breeze poolside.

A beautiful sunrise from our balcony. We saw a dolphin one day!

E and I ventured out to the beach. This was his second time at the beach. His first was last year in Seagrove, FL. He wasn't fond of the sand and salt last year, but this year I convinced him to sit in it and let the waves hit us. He even rolled around in it a few times.

Can't wait until our next beach trip!
