So Long Sweet Summer!

First things first...Graham was 10 weeks old yesterday. He isn't quite ready for the Bumbo seat for longer than a minute but he really likes it. He is probably a little over 12 lbs now. He is cooing and smiling all the time.

The cold weather today had me reminiscing the days of summer. Here are all the pictures I meant to post as the weeks went by. We had a big summer this year! A birth, a wedding, lots of sun & water and of course fun times with friends!

Here are a few of our favorites...
....Da Bears!

This is Easton's new favorite shirt...a Bears jersey Matt got for him in Chicago last week. He is already starting to voice his opinion about his clothes. At the moment it's clothes with numbers. Everything has to be affiliated with sports. Soccer shoes, baseball shorts, football shirts, etc. Somehow I managed to convince him one morning before school that his Run DMC shirt was a football shirt. Don't judge me...all of his "sports" shirts were dirty.

...The Traveling Petting Zoo

....6 AM wakeups!
(for the record, E is not always this happy first thing in the AM)

...Parades!

This parade was for the 100th anniversary of Baxter Seminary now known as Upperman High School. Dad was a baseball coach there for 17 years so they asked him to ride in the parade and he let E ride with him. Gramma Shanks was also in the parade...they honored her for being on the 1st place National Senior Olympic Basketball team this year. Gotta love that. Baxter is a small town but has big parades! Unfortunately I missed most of the highlights because I got there a little late but still managed to snap a few shots.

....Graham's first bath in his Puj tub

....The Pool!

Easton loved jumping off the diving board but only after getting everyone to chant his name to pump him up.

Hunt and Graham enjoyed some time in the shade under the picnic table. That's Jud sneaking in the picture.

Here are the Buckner kids coming over to visit Graham! This picture made me laugh so I had to share it.

....Time With Family
weekly lunch at Gramma & Shorty's

Easton and Shorty reading their favorite book.

Gramma (Sutton) holding her 2nd great-grandson, Graham.

Sasa with 2 of her 6 grandsons! She is counting on John to give her the girls.

Graham's grandmas (Sasa and KK) giving him his first bath.

Here are all six cousins (4 Reese boys and 2 Davidsons). Judson holding Colt, Graham, Hunt standing in front of Davidson and Easton on the floor.

Gramma (Shanks) with Graham.

...More Bathtime...this time outside

....Coming home from the hospital!

My boys! Graham is about 24 hours old in this one. Easton is such a great big brother. He is so sweet around Graham. He loves to show Graham his favorite things and talk to him. If Graham is crying he trys to soothe him by saying "it's otay fweetheart, mommy's coming".

....John & Molly's Wedding in Fayetteville, Arkansas in June
This was our attempt to get all five boys in a picture. Jud was a ring bearer and the other 3 were junior groomsmen.

John and Molly Davidson!

Big Bad John and his nephews.

My handsome boys.

At the altar....John, Matt, (Ryan) Letz & Chris Maples. The other groomsmen were Che Hendrix, Mike Miller and a couple of friends from Arkansas.

Our last photo as a family of 3!
Not the most flattering of me, but here I am 37 weeks pregnant....and I still had another 4 weeks to go.

Matt giving a best man speech. I really enjoyed some of the classic "JD" stories from ACU that were revealed by his groomsmen during the reception. If you knew John in college you are probably thinking of a few yourself right now.
...and finally a couple videos
Che and Lindsay Hendrix drove to Cookeville for the 4th of July this year to visit us and brought all 3 of their boys, Houston, Hutson, and Hank. And just down the street at Molly & Barry's, Kedra (Barry's sister) and Alan and their 2 kids were in town from Houston. So there were 4 little boys at my house and 5 at Mollys plus 1 sweet girl, Lauren. We needed to let these kids run some energy out! There is an emtpy lot at the end of our cul-de-sac so Matt went and found some plastic from a job and they set up sprinklers for a giant slip-and-slide! There was also some dish detergent and football involved. I'm pretty sure the dads had as much fun if not more than the boys.

And here is Easton singing "you are my sunshine" as our closing for Summer 2010! I'll try not to sum up the Fall in this way since this post has taken me 2 days to finish! Hope you had a happy summer...we sure did!
