The Knoxville ZOO!

 It was a great day for a Zoo trip! We decided to go to the Knoxville Zoo and then go see Aunt An afterward. The weather was wonderful, and we headed out early so we could get there first thing! In the shade with a breeze it was perfect, but by 2PM it was heating up and we were exhausted. Thankfully Matt was in charge of pushing the double stroller cause this pregnant woman was struggling after 4 hours of walking.

Our first stop...the black bear. Since this was Easton's first zoo trip he was a little aprehensive. He wanted to make sure that the animals...specifically the lions...couldn't "get out". After 2 or 3 exhibits he realized that we were in the clear and started having fun.

 Graham was just happy to be along for the ride! Not sure he realized we were at the Zoo but it was fun being outside with his brother.

 This was the camel that tormented E. He wanted to see it up close, then freaked out on us. Then he wanted to ride it, so I walked him up to it and he panicked again. So he touched him with the tip of his finger while I held him and then turned and said "Go Mommy!". Not sure why Matt decided to jump in but he decided that E needed to pet the camel not just touch him, so he took him up to the camel once more and then forced him to pet him. He screamed through it!

 There was much anticipation to see the lion. Easton and daddy roared at the lion and she looked right at them (like they were crazy). E thought it was cool that she looked at him.

 He thought the Hogs were silly and yuck for eating mud!

The gorilla was much entertainment. He was upset because he wanted to eat and was pouting since there was no food at his door. E kept saying "It's not nice to pout" and "he shouldn't throw a fit". He may not practice what he preaches yet, but at least I'm getting through to him.

I have never known a child that LOVES ice cream or anything sweet at much as this child. I was in for an ice cream break too!

It was about 1pm and they were fading fast. Graham missed his AM nap but was a trooper.

Matt's favorite exhibit was the reptiles...specifically the snakes. There were alot of them!

The white alligator was pretty cool!

The reptile exhibit was cool and dark...GW was out.

We were on our last leg but couldn't leave without riding the caraousel and playing on the playground.

This nice little boy showed him how to work the frog.

Finally we had done it all...almost anyway. He even milked a fake cow.

It was a fun day! We have had so many discussions about the animals that we saw. We rested at Aunt An's and then went to dinner before heading back to Cookeville.
